Mike Dorsey

Mike Dorsey has a strong background in project management and business analysis. Mike has experience in various industries, including healthcare, government, and technology.

Their most recent role was as a Product Owner and Agile Business Analyst at Essex, an Emmes Company, where they worked closely with stakeholders to ensure that the user stories and acceptance criteria aligned with business needs for cancer research and informatics. Mike also worked on product strategy decisions, release planning, and backlog prioritization.

Mike Dorsey earned an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science from Montgomery College, Maryland, from 1975 to 1978. Mike then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, from 1977 to 1979. In addition to their formal education, Mike Dorsey obtained several certifications throughout their career. Mike earned a Master Certificate in IS/IT Project Management from Villanova University in August 2008. Mike also acquired the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in January 2011 and the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (ACSPO) certification from the same institution in June 2022.
