David Barquero Salas

David Barquero Salas has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. David started their career as a .Net Analyst, Designer, and Developer at Ópticas Vision, where they centralized the billing and inventory system for 70 branches.

David then moved on to Software Consulting Group as a Consultant for SAP Business One, where they were responsible for analysis, design, documentation, and implementation of SAP Business One and its add-ons. David also served as a Customer Service Manager, providing support to customers for SAP Business One and add-ons. Later, they became a Consultant Manager, overseeing the implementation of SAP Business One projects and the coordination of consultants.

After that, David joined DXC Technology as an SAP R3 SD Consultant, where they were responsible for analyzing, designing, documenting, and implementing SAP SD projects in Latin America and North America.

Currently, David is working at Establishment Labs as a Manager of IT Services. In this role, they are responsible for delivering IT services to all business partners, working with application and infrastructure teams to ensure consistent and measurable processes. David also manages projects such as web page development for direct market sales and SAP Business One implementation.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in IT services, project management, SAP Business One, and systems development.

David Barquero Salas completed their Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering at Universidad de Costa Rica UCR from 2000 to 2003. David then pursued further education at Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica, where they obtained a Licentiate degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Banking and Finance in 2007. In 2009, they continued their studies at the same university and earned a Licentiate degree in Information Systems with an Emphasis in Project Administration.

In terms of certifications, David Barquero Salas holds the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Professional Certificate (LSSGBPC) from CertiProf, obtained in September 2020. David has also obtained several certifications from SAP, including the SAP Certified Application Associate - Sales and Distribution, ERP 6.0 EhP6 in August 2015, the Certified SAP Business One 8.8 Consultant in 2011, the Certified SAP Business One 2007 Consultant in 2010, and the Certified SAP Business One 2005 Consultant in 2007.
