John Reeher

John Reeher has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. John currently works as a Sr. Technical Director at Cognosante, where they lead the implementation of Product Line Architecture and Engineering for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to this, John served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at EstateSpace, where they designed and implemented cybersecurity and compliance programs. John also worked as the Sr. Director of Emerging Technologies at GovernmentCIO and as the Vice President of Digital Infrastructure Services at Aptive Resources.

Earlier in their career, John held positions such as Technical Director and Enterprise Solution Architect at Kforce Government Solutions, Inc. and Systems Made Simple Inc. John played a major role in IT modernization initiatives and contributed significantly to projects at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Before that, they worked at Promergent as a Software Engineer and IT Administrator, and at Agmodels Inc. as a Software Engineer and Microsoft DBA.

Additionally, John has experience in networking and data analysis, having worked as a Data and Networking Account Executive at The Sutherland Group LTD. and as a System and Network Administrator at TEKsystems. In these roles, they specialized in network infrastructure upgrades and migrations for enterprise customers.

John Reeher attended Hartwick College from 1995 to 1997 where they studied Chemistry and Music Performance. John then enrolled at Onondaga Community College in 2002 and completed their studies in Chemistry in 2003. Finally, from 2006 to 2012, John attended SUNY Empire State College, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Systems.
