Joshua Engel

Joshua Engel currently serves as General Counsel at Estes Energy, a position held since June 2024. Prior to this role, Joshua was Vice President of Legal at Proterra Powered LLC from February 2024 to May 2024, and held the title of Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at Proterra Inc. from May 2021 to January 2024. Joshua has extensive experience in legal leadership, including Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at Neustar, Inc., where management of the Commercial Legal Team generated substantial revenue. Earlier legal roles included Principal at Engel Law, P.C., where a solo practice was established, and Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Sonic Solutions. Joshua’s career also includes foundational experiences at Roxio, Bigstep, and Sun Microsystems, complemented by a BA in Sociology/Political Science from Vassar College and a JD/MBA from the University of San Francisco.
