Niels Raes

Niels Raes is a Programme Manager for International Biodiversity Infrastructures at Naturalis Biodiversity Center Nederland, where responsibilities include managing the Netherlands Biodiversity Information Facility (NLBIF) and mobilizing free biodiversity data. Raes has extensive experience in biodiversity research, having served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Fellow on various projects focusing on climate change impacts and biodiversity patterns. Previous roles include Project Leader in Ecology and consultant on climate change and conservation, alongside a strong academic background with a Ph.D. in Ecology & Biogeography from Leiden University.
