Troy Sturdivant has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2014, they began working at the YMCA as a Camp Counselor, where they led younger campers in various activities and promoted a healthy lifestyle. In 2018, Troy transitioned into a leadership role at the YMCA as a Campers In Leadership Training (CILT) Coordinator, where they developed a comprehensive training program and provided direct leadership to the CILTs.

In 2018, Troy also worked as a Maitre D'/Social Media Consultant at Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern. In this role, they managed bookkeeping, reservations, and event coordination, while also taking on responsibilities in social media management and promotion. Within six weeks, they increased social media traffic by 28%.

In 2019, Troy took on a role at Crystal Visions Yoga as a Social Media Marketing Consultant. They contributed to defining the company's mission and rebranding efforts, built a strong social media presence, and designed creative posts to increase brand awareness.

Later in 2019, Troy joined the YMCA again, this time as a Y-Learning Site Coordinator. They maintained strong communication with teachers, administration, and YMCA internal leadership, and facilitated a safe and productive environment for participants while also delivering character development devotions.

Most recently, in 2020, Troy started working at Etix as a Digital Marketing & Web Development Intern. They gained experience in website management and marketing coordination, and eventually transitioned into the role of Marketing Coordinator. Currently, they hold the position of a Client Website Specialist.

Troy Sturdivant began their education in 2016 at Appalachian State University, where they studied Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. Troy completed their studies in 2018 without obtaining a specific degree. In 2021, Troy continued their education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in Mass Communication/Media Studies. Troy is expected to receive their Bachelor's degree from this institution in 2022.
