David Ko

David Ko is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance, research, and sustainability. As Co-Founder of Rethinking Choices since November 2020, David promotes sustainability tailored to climate survival strategies while serving as Chairman of Etna Research since January 2022, focusing on alpha portfolios and market capacities. Previously, David held the position of Head of Research at Horizon Asset LLP from June 2012 to November 2020, where data analytics and sustainability policies were key focuses. David co-founded Kurtosis Capital in 2010, exploring macro opportunities in a post-crisis landscape, and founded Science Investigators to enhance science education in London. Early career highlights include a role as Partner at JWM Partners, Senior Strategist at Long-Term Capital Management, and a University Lecturer in Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford. David holds a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Exeter.
