Ilian Madjarov

Head Of Planning And Corporate Affairs at eu-LISA

Ilian Madjarov has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. From 2015 to present, they have worked at eu-LISA as the Head of Planning and Corporate Affairs, where they are responsible for drafting and monitoring the long-term strategy and programming documents. Their role also includes supporting budgets, human resources planning, and drafting various reports. Prior to this, from 2008 to 2015, Ilian worked at the National Revenue Agency, Head Quarters, Strategic Planning and Change Management Directorate, as a Chief Expert. There they were responsible for strategic and operational planning, corporate risk management, and implementation of total quality management. From 2007 to 2008, at the Ministry of Finance, CFCU, Project Management and Monitoring, Ilian worked as a Chief Expert and managed and supervised programs and projects financed under the Phare Programme. Before that, from 2004 to 2007, they worked at the National Revenue Agency, HQ, European Integration and International Cooperation Directorate, as a Chief Expert, managing projects under the Phare Programme. Ilian also has experience working as a Senior Expert at SAMTS, International Cooperation and European Integration Directorate, and at the National Customs Agency, International Cooperation and European Integration Directorate. Ilian started their career as a Customs Officer at the National Customs Agency, Pazardjik Customs Bureau. Ilian also has experience in marketing and sales, having worked at MTTM Ltd. as a Marketing Expert/Salesman and at AXON Bulgaria as a Salesman.

Ilian Madjarov obtained a Master's degree in Engineer-Manager (Industrial Management) from the Technical University of Sofia, Sofia, Bulgaria, between 1990 and 1996. Prior to that, they attended the "Berthold Brecht" Foreign Language Unified Secondary Polytechnic School from 1985 to 1990. No specific degree or field of study is provided for the latter.
