Tim Cloninger

Golf Course Superintendent at Eugene Country Club

Tim Cloninger is currently the Golf Course Superintendent at Eugene Country Club. Tim has previously held the positions of Agronomist/Superintendent, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Golf Maintenance Intern. Tim has also worked as a Turfgrass Research Assistant at the University of Arizona.

Tim Cloninger began their career in the golf industry in 1998 as a greenskeeper at Forest Hills Country Club. Tim then became a Turfgrass Research Assistant at the University of Arizona in 2001 and remained in that position until 2004 when they accepted a position as Assistant Superintendent at Red Rock Country Club.

In 2005, Tim became the Assistant Superintendent at Shadow Creek Golf Course. Tim was promoted to Superintendent in 2011 and held that position until 2018 when they left to join Staples Golf Design. Tim returned to Eugene Country Club in 2020 as their Golf Course Superintendent.

Tim Cloninger works with Bill Morach - Head Golf Professional, Steve Badenoch - Controller, and Jennifer Lang - Food & Beverage Director. Tim Cloninger reports to Rich Spurlin, General Manager.
