Erik Dean

Erik Dean is a Mechanical Engineering Associate at Eugene Water & Electric Board since June 2019, bringing extensive experience in mechanical and electrical operations within the nuclear power industry. Erik completed a Master of Engineering Management at Old Dominion University, which included courses in systems analysis and project management. Previous roles include Senior Tester of Motor Operated Valves at Crane Nuclear, electrician at Day & Zimmermann, and Quality Manager in the US Navy, overseeing personnel compliance and safety training. Erik's foundational experience as a Nuclear Machinist's Mate included supervising machinery operations on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and coursework in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado Boulder.
