Jay Rosenberger has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Jay started their career as an IT Security Analyst at Job Skills in 2003 and later worked at TD Bank and Communications Security Establishment in similar roles. From 2008 to 2016, Jay held various positions at BlackBerry, including Principal Systems & Applications Security.
In 2016, Jay joined Economical Insurance as a Technical Lead and later became the Manager of Information Security. Jay played a key role in enhancing the company's information security and guiding them through their demutualization process.
In 2019, Jay moved to Bonfire Interactive as the Director of Security, Compliance, and IT, where they established security programs, policies, and controls, leading to SOC2 Type II certification. Jay also joined Euna Solutions (formerly GTY Technology) in the same year as the Vice President of Information Security. Here, Jay oversaw and matured the information security programs across all GTY companies.
Throughout their career, Jay has been responsible for various aspects of information security, including security architecture, operations, incident response, risk assessments, and application development security. Jay has also demonstrated a strong leadership ability by mentoring and developing the skills and capabilities of their teams.
Jay Rosenberger has an Hon. Bachelor of Applied Computing degree in Distributed Computing and Communication Systems Technology from the University of Guelph. Jay also has an Advanced Diploma (Associate Degree) in Wireless and Telecommunications Technology from Humber College and a Network Systems Specialist Diploma (Associate Degree) in Computer Networks from DeVry Institute of Technology. In addition to their degrees, Jay has obtained several certifications including the Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) from EC-Council in 2023, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in 2014, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2013, COBIT from ISACA in 2011, Certified Application Security Specialist from the Institute for Certified Application Security Specialists in 2009, and Certified Penetration Testing Specialist (CPTS) from Mile2 in 2008.
