Ziyanda Stuurman

Ziyanda Stuurman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in political risk analysis and policy management. Currently serving as a Senior Analyst at Eurasia Group, Ziyanda assesses political risks tied to elections and various economic policies in South Africa. Prior experience includes a role as Policy Manager at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, working on evidence-based policymaking across Africa, and serving as Communications Coordinator for Afrobarometer. Ziyanda's background also features roles in project management support at UNDP focused on climate change, research internship at the Consortium on Gender, Security, and Human Rights, and a tenure as Political Risk Analyst at red24. An active student leader during academic years, Ziyanda holds multiple degrees including a Master of Arts in Development Economics and International Development from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
