Alexander Kazakov

Head Of Structuring at Eurasian Development Bank

Alexander Kazakov has extensive experience in the financial industry, particularly in structuring and syndicated finance. Alexander began their career in 2001 as the Head of Legal at the Agency for housing mortgage lending. Alexander then worked as a Senior Associate at Liniya Prava Law Firm, specializing in core areas such as ABS, RMBS, mortgage lending, and mutual funds. In 2006, they joined RuMAC as the Legal Director before moving on to Gazprombank as the Director of Structured & Syndicated Finance in 2008. From 2011 to 2014, they held the position of Director of Structuring at VTB Capital. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Structuring at the Eurasian Development Bank, a role they have held since December 2015.

Alexander Kazakov has a strong educational background in law and international studies. Alexander began their education at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO, where they earned a bachelor's degree in international law from 1993 to 1998. Alexander then went on to pursue further studies in law at the Russian School of Private Law, obtaining a master's degree in private law from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, they expanded their expertise by pursuing an LL.M in international business law at Leiden University from 1999 to 2000.
