Selma Bennis

Selma Bennis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Senior Programme Specialist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Selma is leading the operational setup for new offices in six sub-Saharan African countries and focusing on scaling high-potential start-ups through the Star Venture Programme. Selma's career includes roles such as Independent Board Member at Fondation AMANE, Head of the Entrepreneurship Section and Lecturer at Ecole Centrale Casablanca, and Director positions in various organizations such as Casablanca Finance City and the Centre Régional d'Investissement de Casablanca-Settat. Selma co-founded MATYN, aimed at connecting cooperatives with larger enterprises, and led the Entrepreneur Academy at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, fostering entrepreneurial skills among aspiring African entrepreneurs. Educational background includes a Master's in Finance from Université Paris Dauphine, certifications in board directorship, and participation in the Young African Leaders program.
