Ettore Severi is a seasoned public health professional currently serving as Principal Expert - Preparedness and Response and Expert Outbreak Response at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since January 2013. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientist and EPIET Fellow at the Health Protection Agency from November 2009 to November 2012, as well as serving as an Epi consultant for WHO within the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN) in 2011. Earlier in their career, Ettore worked as a pharmacist for Médecins Sans Frontières from October 2006 to August 2008. Academically, Ettore holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Karolinska Institutet (2015-2022) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2008-2009).
