Saara Kotila

Saara Kotila is a seasoned professional in the field of food sciences, currently serving as a scientific officer and programme officer at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since June 2013. Prior experience includes a role as a junior research assistant at Nestlé Suisse from June 2011 to May 2013 and a position as a data manager at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for a brief period in early 2011. Prior to that, Saara Kotila undertook various roles at EFSA, including an in-service trainee position, and contributed as a researcher and research assistant at the National Institute for Health and Welfare from July 2007 to November 2009. Early career experiences include a trainee role at Cardiff University and serving as a quality observer at Sinebrychoff. Saara Kotila holds a Master's degree in Food Sciences from the University of Helsinki, completed in 2008.
