Anne Autio

Anne Autio has extensive experience in communications and media relations, currently serving as the Head of Communications and overseeing science-media initiatives at the European Forest Institute since January 2017. Prior to this role, Anne led development communications at the Regional State Administrative Agencies and managed a nationwide network of communications professionals. As Deputy Director at the European Journalism Centre, Anne focused on media development and operations. A seasoned journalist, Anne held various positions, including Brussels Bureau Chief at the Finnish Broadcasting Company and foreign news editor at MTV3. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee and expertise as a translator from Tampere University.
