Prof Igor Calzada

Prof. Igor Calzada, MBA, FeRSA, currently serves as a PI/Full Professor and Research Professor in Social Sciences and Humanities at Ikerbasque and the University of the Basque Country, focusing on Digital Citizenship, AI for Social Innovation, and Urban Economics. In addition, Prof. Calzada holds positions as Principal Research Fellow at Cardiff University, Invited Professor at multiple institutions including Budapest University of Technology and Economics and SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and Senior Scientific Advisor at Astera Institute. Notably, Prof. Calzada's expertise encompasses digital transformations, techno-politics, and international relations, with significant contributions to various research programs and initiatives under the European Research Executive Agency. Educational background includes a PhD Cum Laude from Mondragon Unibertsitatea and a PostDoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford.
