Roberta Buhagiar

Roberta Buhagiar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of asylum, migration, and protection. Currently serving as a Senior Information and Analysis Officer at the European Union Agency for Asylum since December 2021, Roberta previously held the positions of Chief Executive Officer and Refugee Commissioner at the International Protection Agency Malta from October 2019 to November 2021. Prior roles include Software Tester at RS2, Advisor on Migration and Migration Coordinator at the Ministry for Home Affairs & National Security, Senior Protection Associate and Associate Protection Officer at UNHCR, and Lawyer at the Jesuit Refugee Service. Roberta's educational background includes a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science from Middlesex University, among other qualifications.
