Argyrios Ioannidis M.D.

Argyrios Ioannidis MD, PhD, FACS, FASCRS is a Clinical Assistant Professor of General Surgery and Course Coordinator at European University Cyprus since February 2023. In addition to academic roles, Argyrios serves as an Editorial Board Member for the Scientific Reports Journal and The International Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery, as well as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Surgery. Active in professional organizations, Argyrios participates in the Robotic Surgery and Colorectal Surgery Committees of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and previously represented young-ESCP on the Membership Committee of the European Society of Coloproctology. Former positions include Consultant Surgeon at Athens Medical Group and Chief Resident at Sismanoglio General Hospital of Athens, alongside a fellowship at Cleveland Clinic's Department of Digestive Disease and Colorectal Surgery. Argyrios holds a PhD in Medicine from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon and an MD from the University of Ioannina.
