Maria Athanasiou

Maria Athanasiou serves as the Managing Director at MASO Strategic since August 2023, while also holding positions as a Lecturer in Oil and Gas at EMG ASSOCIATES (UK) LIMITED, Research Fellow at the Institute of Studies for Politics and Democracy, and Faculty Lecturer at European University Cyprus, all contributing to their expertise in law. As the Founder of Athanasiou & Associates LLC, Maria provides comprehensive legal support to diverse clients, focusing on legal processes, contract negotiations, and corporate compliance. Additionally, Maria acts as a Legal Consultant for the Cyprus Maritime Academy and has lectured in Maritime Law and Marine Legal Issues at the University of Nicosia. Previous experience includes roles as a Lawyer and Trainee Lawyer, with a robust academic background featuring a PhD candidacy in the Law of the Sea and multiple advanced law degrees.
