Matina Yannakourou

Matina Yannakourou is an accomplished academic and legal expert specializing in Labour Law, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Labour Law at European University Cyprus since October 2012. With a rich background in higher education, Matina has also held the position of Assistant Professor in the same field at the university, teaching various courses including Individual Labour Law and Cypriot Labour Law. Matina's professional experience includes significant roles such as Deputy Ombudsman for Gender Equality Issues at The Greek Ombudsman, where oversight of gender discrimination complaints was a key responsibility, and Special Advisor to the Secretary General at the General Secretariat for Equality, Ministry of Interior, focusing on EU policies related to gender equality.
