Stefan Denig

Stefan Denig serves as the Special Advisor on Strategy at the European University Institute, where responsibilities include developing the 2025-2030 strategic plan and brand identity. As the Head of EU Business and Strategic Advisor at ifok GmbH since October 2018, Stefan established and manages the new Business Unit Europe, leading significant contracts such as the Climate Pact and the Conference on the Future of Europe. Previous roles include Head of Communications at the Allianz Foundation, where a new public communications strategy was implemented post-merger, and Director of Communications for the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy. Earlier experience encompasses leadership positions in communications and public affairs at Climate-KIC and Siemens, respectively, where initiatives focused on urban sustainability and digital infrastructure. Career beginnings involved public relations roles, including as Press Spokesperson for Allianz and Siemens. Stefan Denig holds a degree from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
