Katrin Schmidt

Katrin Schmidt is a seasoned journalist and media professional with extensive experience in sports reporting and moderation. Currently working as a reporter and editor at RTL Deutschland, a moderator at Saarländischer Rundfunk, and a freelancer for Eurosport, Katrin has contributed to the planning and execution of Olympic coverage. Additionally, as a freelancer for the Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband, Katrin interviews champions at major athletics events. Previous roles include an internship at Radio Salü EURO-RADIO SAAR GmbH, student assistantship at WDR, and a communications assistant position for the Berlin Leichtathletik-EM 2018 GmbH. Katrin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Germanistik from the University of Cologne and studied at Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln from 2013 to 2019.
