Tao Chen

Tao Chen has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Tao started their career at Comsat Labs in 1991 as a Member of Technical Staff, where they specialized in satellite communication system analysis, antenna array, and cellular systems. In 1993, they joined Qualcomm as a Senior Director of Engineering, where they worked on wireless and cellular system design. Tao held various roles at Qualcomm, including Senior Director of Technology. In 2011, Tao Chen joined USC Viterbi School of Engineering as a Corporate Advisory Board Member. Tao recently worked as a Senior Principal System Engineer at OneWeb starting in 2018.

Tao Chen holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and also obtained a MSEE (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) from the same university. Furthermore, they pursued an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Business Administration from UCLA. Tao Chen completed their undergraduate studies at National Taiwan University, earning a BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
