Helen Franco is the Chief Legal Officer at Everise, protecting the company from legal risks while monitoring compliances to ensure it adheres to sound corporate governance practices. She oversees the review and approval of all documents pertaining to the company’s operations, monitors its commercial insurance, and serves as the keeper of its business and corporate records. Given the international reach of the Everise group, her responsibilities also extend not only to the United States but also to Latin America, Malaysia, and the Philippines where she engages with local counsels regarding our business and legal interests.

As an experienced corporate attorney with substantial in-house experience, and a background as outside counsel to publicly traded and private, venture-backed companies, and more than 20 years’ experience, Helen’s pool of knowledge and expertise has a strong focus on client and vendor contract drafting and negotiation, and corporate governance. She specializes in general corporate work, corporate governance, property leases, financing transactions, and reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of complex commercial transactions.

Helen’s career started as an associate representing publicly traded clients for Steel Hector & Davis LLP, which was one of the three major law firms in Florida at the time. Prior to joining the company in 2010, she served as in-house counsel for software and manufacturing companies, and other companies providing healthcare-related products and services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in General Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Florida Atlantic University and earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University summa cum laude.
