Mikia Manley has a broad range of work experience, beginning in 2012 as an Outreach Associate for StudentsFirst. In 2013, they took on the role of Outreach Coordinator for CareerVillage. In 2014, they were a Staff Writer for the Child and Family Policy at the Chicago Policy Review, a Writing Teaching Assistant and Communications Assistant at the Harris School of Public Policy, and a Legislative Intern for the Office of State Representative Marjorie Decker at the Massachusetts State House. In 2015, they were an Intern in the Department of Assessment at the Chicago Public Schools and a Political Intern for Hillary for Iowa. From 2016 to 2021, Manley worked at Mathematica Policy Research, where they held the roles of Product Manager, Deputy Director of Foundation and Non-Profit Partnerships, Education & Employment Division, and Human Services Research Analyst. Most recently, Manley has been the Director of Product Management and Senior Product Manager at EveryDay Labs.
Mikia Manley completed their A.B. in Human Evolutionary Biology and Psychology from Harvard University from 2010 to 2014. Mikia then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago from 2014 to 2016. Mikia has also obtained numerous certifications from various institutions, including Scrum.org, University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and IDEO U, from 2019 to 2021.
