Eeva Ruuska has a diverse work experience in various research and consultancy roles. Eeva started in 2017 as a Junior Evaluation Expert, conducting a mid-term evaluation of a rural development project in Mozambique. In 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant, conducting an urban climate governance inventory in Rio de Janeiro. Eeva also worked as a GIS Specialist and Socio-Economic Impact Study Analyst, providing consultancy services in Papua New Guinea.

In the same year, Eeva started their role as a Research Consultant at Tekio Pensamiento Estratégico, where they conducted desk-studies on the creative economy sector in Mexico and the bullying and sexual harassment at work in the mining sector in Mexico and Latin America. Eeva also collaborated with TEKIO, Agencia de Inteligencia Colectiva, conducting research on rural youth and productive opportunities in Mexico and Latin America, as well as benchmarking market guarantee systems in Mexico and internationally.

Eventually, Eeva joined Riskline in 2018 as a Political and Security Risk Analyst, where they provided analysis on country-specific security threats and COVID-19 intelligence. Eeva later became the Americas Operations Manager, leading a team of analysts and conducting bespoke analysis reports according to client requirements. Eeva also worked as a Research Consultant at Evidencity, Inc, and later at TEKIO, Agencia de Inteligencia Colectiva, conducting various research projects on funding agency agendas and market guarantee systems.

Eeva Ruuska completed their Bachelor's Degree in Regional studies at the University of Helsinki, from the year 2004 to 2009. Eeva then pursued their Master's Degree in Development Geography at the same university, from 2009 to 2012. In addition, they participated in an exchange year at the Università degli Studi di Padova in 2007 and 2008, where they studied Geography and International Development.
