Hector Toro-Diaz has a diverse work experience in research and teaching roles. Hector started their career as an Assistant Professor at Universidad del Valle in 2002, where they taught undergraduate and graduate courses and supervised students working on their thesis. Hector then served as an Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali from 2007 to 2010.
In 2010, they joined Clemson University as a Research Assistant, where they conducted research on mapping the nuclear supply chain and analyzing the impact of maternal obesity and diabetes on health disparities.
Since 2013, Hector has been working at Evidera, initially as a Research Associate and later progressing to Senior Research Associate, Research Scientist, and ultimately the Senior Research Scientist & Director.
Hector Toro-Diaz pursued their education in Industrial Engineering, starting with a Master's degree from Universidad del Valle (CO) from 2006 to 2008. Hector further enhanced their knowledge and academic qualifications by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University between 2010 and 2013.
