James Spolar

James Spolar is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Evine. James has held this position since February 2020. Prior to this, they were with iMedia Brands as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from August 2019 to February 2020. James was also with Life Time - Healthy Way of Life as the VP, Senior Deputy General Counsel and Secretary from January 2016 to August 2019.

Spolar has extensive experience in advising boards and executive management teams on all legal matters. James has also played a key role in reducing outside counsel spend by consolidating firms and eliminating unnecessary projects. During their time with Life Time, they led the legal and business restructuring of the company-wide medical and chiropractor businesses, resulting in a more streamlined operation. James also coordinated all legal diligence and structuring for a number of potential nine-figure acquisitions, ensuring risk-minimized business analysis. In addition, they worked with the DOJ and FBI on an insider trading case.

James Spolar has a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law and a BA in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa.
