Kavitha Rao

Kavitha Rao, PhD has extensive work experience in the medical and scientific writing field. Kavitha is currently the Medical Director at Evoke Mind+Matter. Prior to this, they worked at SCOUT Marketing where they held various roles including Director of Medical Information Services, Associate Scientific Director, and Senior Copywriter. Kavitha also worked as an Associate Director of Scientific Services at JB Ashtin. Kavitha began their career as a Senior Copywriter at Scout Marketing and also worked as a Freelance Medical Writer. Kavitha has also worked at AbbVie as a Senior Medical Writer. Kavitha completed their research associate position at Northwestern University.

Kavitha Rao, PhD completed their education with a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from 2001-2006. Prior to that, they obtained an M.Sc in Biotechnology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 1998-2000. Kavitha began their academic journey at the University of Mumbai, where they earned a B.Sc in Microbiology and Biotechnology from 1995-1998. In addition, they completed a certification course in Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials from Coursera Course Certificates in 2018.
