Job description

As part of our current high-growth phase, we are recruiting a quality engineer to act as a quality focal point to ensure the quality of our new and evolving products in a developing sector of the aerospace market.

Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

Our Team:

Acts as an enabler for the organisation rather than functioning as the “Police”, to empower other areas of the business to innovate and challenge preconceptions to develop processes that work for Evolito whilst working within regulations and standards.

The role:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements
  • Acting as the Quality focal on development projects
  • Driving APQP activities
  • Drive for FAIR and PPAP completion
  • Acting as a business management system auditor
  • Taking part in customer/supplier visits and audits as required
  • Working with process owners to drive closure of non-conformances
  • Leading internal and external investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions
  • Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture
  • Support in the development and deployment of quality objectives

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Previous proven experience within a Quality Engineering role, within the aerospace sector
  • Familiar with CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and Process Auditing
  • Experience with internal audits
  • Experience in the use of APQP tools and techniques
  • Experienced in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques
