Anthony Sardella's work experience includes various leadership roles in academia, business, and research.

Anthony is currently the Chair of the API Innovation Center, a position they have held since April 2021.

Prior to that, they served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Analytics and Business Insights at Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, starting in June 2021.

Anthony also held the role of Professor of Business Strategy - Adjunct at the same institution since 2007. In this role, they focused on managerial and behavioral economics, data science, decision sciences, and non-market strategies. Anthony led The Perception Gap Project, which studied the gap between scientific risk and societal perception of risk across various industries and topics such as opioids and driverless vehicles.

Additionally, Sardella served as the Chair of the Olin Brookings Institution Opioid Commission, a multi-year initiative in partnership with The Bellwether Foundation Inc. The Commission aimed to explore issues of global significance and examine megatrend topics that affect the quality of life in the community.

Before their academic roles, Sardella had leadership positions in the business sector. Anthony was the Vice-Chair and Founder of evolve24 from April 2019 until their current position. Anthony previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of evolve24 from August 2014 to April 2019.

Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Innovation and Growth Officer at Maritz from January 2012 to August 2014. Before that, they served as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Maritz from 2010 to 2012.

Sardella also founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Evolve24 from 2003 to 2010.

Their earlier experience includes roles at Monsanto as Director of Biotechnology Acceptance and Product Stewardship Manager and Toxicologist, as well as a role as a Regulatory Toxicologist at Oxy. Before that, they worked as a Consultant Toxicologist at Intertek (formerly CanTox Health Sciences).

Anthony Sardella received their Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Anthony later pursued further education at the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, completing their MBA between 2001 and 2003. In 2011, Sardella attended an Executive Education program at Harvard University, focusing on Data Analytics and Strategy. In 2018, they participated in another Executive Education program, this time at Stanford University, where they specialized in Big Data and Strategic Decisions: Analysis to Action.
