Daniele Di Nuzzo

Senior Engineer at evonetix

Daniele Di Nuzzo has a diverse range of work experience in the field of physics and engineering. Daniele is currently working at Evonetix Ltd, where they hold the position of Senior Engineer starting from January 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as an Engineer at the same company from June 2020 to January 2021.

Daniele also has extensive experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The Cavendish Laboratory - Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge. During their time there from June 2015 to May 2019, they conducted research that resulted in the discovery of nanoscale control of charge conduction in self-assembled copper metallopolymers.

Daniele also worked as a Visiting Scientist at the Weizmann Institute of Science in January and February 2017, collaborating with Prof. Ron Naaman on chiral synthetic semiconductors.

Furthermore, Daniele served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Bath / Department of Physics, Centre for Photonics and Photonic Materials from April 2013 to February 2015. Their research focused on doping of organic semiconductors, photo-induced charge generation processes in conjugated organic materials, and organic molecular charge-transfer crystals.

Daniele also gained experience as a Visiting Scientist at Politecnico di Milano in August and September 2013, working with Prof. Giulio Cerullo on ultrafast spectroscopy of conjugated polymers for photovoltaics.

Daniele's academic journey began as a PhD researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology / Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from November 2008 to December 2012. Their research focused on organic photovoltaic solar cells, with expertise in photo-physics, semiconductor device physics, and advanced electrical characterization.

Lastly, they started their career as a Master Thesis Student at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca / Department of Materials Science from September 2007 to July 2008. During this time, they conducted experimental research on the photophysics of organo-lanthanide complexes for application in organic light emitting diodes, specifically studying the dependence of photophysical properties on the density of optical excitations.

Daniele Di Nuzzo completed their education in a chronological order. Daniele first attended Liceo Scientifico G.Casiraghi in Cinisello Balsamo (Milano) from 1996 to 2001, although no specific degree or field of study information is provided. Daniele then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, graduating in 2005. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics from the same university, completing their studies in 2008. Finally, Daniele attended Eindhoven University of Technology from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physical Chemistry - Materials Science.
