Jola Kopec has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research. Jola began their career as a PhD student at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, where they worked from February 2002 to August 2006. Jola then moved on to Karolinska Institutet, where they served as a Post Doc in Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics from September 2006 to November 2010. Jola then joined King's College London as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from August 2011 to May 2013. Jola continued their research career at The Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from June 2013 to May 2017. Currently, they are working at Evotec, where they hold the positions of Senior Scientist from May 2017 to April 2020, and Senior Scientist I from April 2020 to the present. Additionally, Jola is also a Principal Scientist at Evotec starting from January 2024. Their work experience demonstrates a consistent dedication to scientific exploration and advancement.

Jola Kopec holds a PhD in Structural Biology from Technische Universität Berlin, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a degree called "mgr inz" in Chemistry and Biotechnology from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology from 1995 to 2000. Their earliest education took place at XIV LO from 1990 to 1995, although the degree and field of study are unknown. Additionally, Jola has obtained certifications in Python from TestDome in 2020, as well as various certifications from Udemy in subjects such as FastAPI, Linux, Computer Vision with OpenCV and Deep Learning, and Machine Learning & Data Science Masterclass. Jola has also completed a Udemy Course in Agile.
