Matthew Perkins

Matthew Perkins joined EVRAZ North America in April 2019. In December 2019, he was named Chief Performance Officer with the responsibility to drive the company’s continuous improvement and operational excellence strategy and implementation, along with engineering and PMO responsibilities across North America.

Prior to joining EVRAZ North America, Perkins had been President and CEO of SKW North America, a New York-based producer of specialty chemicals, alloys, and powder metallurgy products.

Before SKW, Perkins spent most of his career with U.S. Steel, first joining in 2001 where he led operations in Indiana, Michigan, Serbia, and Slovakia. His steel career started at LTV Steel Company in 1991 where he worked across operations, customer technical service, and quality.

Perkins is a 1991 graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in metallurgical engineering. In 1998, he received an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business.
