eWater Group

Welcome to eWater Group! We are jointly owned by all Australian governments to maintain and further develop Australia’s world-class water modelling tools, and to provide support and training nationwide and internationally. The Group manages two divisions – eWater Solutions, the Australian Water Partnership – to deliver water management solutions for communities in Australia and overseas. We have strong partnerships with the Australian Government Departments DFAT and DEECEW, Murray Darling Basin Authority, as well as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and the Mekong Water Commission to enhance sustainable water management in the Indo-Pacific region. We play a key role in implementing Australia’s National Hydrological Modelling Strategy (or eWater Source) to provide governments, decision makers, water experts and researchers the tools and support them make the right decisions about water solutions. As part of our role in water management capacity building, we offer a suite of water and environmental management tools and resources. One of our most widely used tools is our stormwater modelling product, MUSIC, which continues to lead the way in decision support for stormwater quality management and water sensitive urban design. As the custodians of the collective investment and experience of governments and industry in water resources modelling, our mission is to build and share capability in Australia’s world-class modelling tools and expertise. Central to our success is our people. Supporting and empowering our people to deliver sustainable water management solutions is critical to our success, and that includes creating opportunities, and empowering our people to find solutions to increasingly changing environments both in Australia and overseas.
