Behzad Bayat

Behzad Bayat serves as the Data Analytics Competence Center Lead at ewz since January 2019. Prior to this role, Behzad co-founded MIRoboticsCH from September 2017 to August 2020. Behzad's academic contributions at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne spanned from June 2015 to September 2019, with engagements as a Guest Scientific Collaborator and Post-doc Researcher, focusing on the Envirobot project aimed at developing a robot platform for water quality assessment. Earlier experience includes research roles at Instituto Superior Técnico from October 2007 to May 2015, involving projects on cooperative navigation for autonomous underwater vehicles, as well as serving as a teaching assistant and doctoral assistant in related fields. Behzad earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico between 2009 and 2014.
