Abel Morales

Abel Morales, MBA, CISSP has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Abel currently works at Exabeam as a Team Lead - Principal Security Engineer, where they serve as a consultant to Fortune 500 organizations, developing logging, threat detection, and insider threat strategies. Abel also works with sales executives throughout the sales cycle and provides C-level executives and upper management with a consultative approach to industry best practices.

Prior to their current role, Morales worked as a Team Lead - Senior Security Engineer and a Senior Security Engineer at Exabeam. In these positions, they continued to work with sales executives, provided consultative approaches to industry best practices, and assessed customer needs and environments.

Before joining Exabeam, Morales worked at Verizon Wireless as a Principal Incident Handler, where they acted as Incident Commander for high impact cyber breaches and advanced attacks. Abel executed incident response processes and participated in the analysis, containment, and eradication of cyber security events and incidents.

Morales also gained experience at Syniverse as a Cyber Security Analyst III - Team Lead, where they managed the Security Operations Center program and led tabletop exercises with the Cyber Security Incident Response Team. Abel developed executive management presentations to demonstrate the value of the services rendered by the Security Operations Center.

In addition to their cybersecurity roles, Morales served in the Army National Guard as a Petroleum Supply Specialist and worked at Intercontinental Exchange as a Security Threat and Vulnerability Management Analyst, managing incident response cycles and network behavior solutions.

Earlier in their career, Morales worked at CohnReznick LLP as a Security Analyst, where they developed and updated information security policies and procedures. Abel also collaborated with the Legal Team on handling litigation requests and assisted in risk assessments of new technologies.
