Lori Tanenbaum Zaret, SPHR has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Lori started their career in 1986 as an HR Generalist at Zurich Insurance Company, where they served as an HR business partner and project leader for nationwide career development implementation strategy.
In 1991, Lori joined Interstate National Corporation, a subsidiary of Firemans Fund Insurance Company, as the Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, they managed a team and delivered HR services to 500 employees in multi-state field operations. Lori'sresponsibilities included recruitment, employee relations, training, compensation, HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and policy development.
After three years, Lori moved on to become the Director of Human Resources at Firemans Fund Insurance Company. Lori held this position from 1997 to 2000, overseeing HR functions and strategies.
In 2000, Lori joined JDS Uniphase as the Director of Human Resources. Lori directed a team responsible for developing and implementing HR plans and strategies across nine global sites.
Finally, Lori joined Exchange Bank in 2004, initially as the AVP of Human Resources. Lori consulted with management at various levels and provided guidance on talent acquisition, performance management, conflict resolution, team building, staff retention, and development. Later on, they assumed the role of SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer, where they continued to contribute their expertise and leadership.
