Ram Gopalan

Ram Gopalan has extensive work experience in the field of finance and treasury management. Ram is currently working as the Corporate Treasurer & Vice President of Finance at Exela Technologies. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Treasury at McKesson from 2019 to 2021.

Before joining McKesson, Ram Gopalan worked at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) for six years, starting as a Treasury Cash Manager in 2013. During their time at FCA, they successfully implemented a Treasury Management System re-implementation, resulting in significant cost savings and improved data accuracy. Ram also played a vital role in enhancing cash forecasting, providing accurate variance explanations, and improving cash visibility to the CFO. Ram Gopalan also oversaw banking activities, liquidity management, and treasury initiatives while maintaining proper controls and compliance with SOX regulations.

Prior to FCA, Ram Gopalan worked at Chrysler Group LLC / Chrysler LLC as a Treasury Operations Manager from 2008 to 2013. Ram began their career in treasury management at DaimlerChrysler Corporation, where they held the roles of Treasury Manager and Treasury Analyst from 2003 to 2008.

Before entering the finance industry, Ram Gopalan started their career as a Business Analyst at American Express where they managed technology projects and developed business intelligence applications. Ram also worked as a System Analyst at DATA SOFTWARE RESEARCH COMPANY PRIVATE LIMITED.

Overall, Ram Gopalan has a proven track record of successfully managing treasury operations, implementing efficient systems, and driving cost savings in the finance industry.

Ram Gopalan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy (SASTRA), Thanjavur in the years 1995 to 1999. Later, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Wayne State University.
