Gabriel Mak

Gabriel Mak has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Gabriel is currently working as an Executive Medical Director at Exelixis since 2024. Prior to that, they have held various roles at AstraZeneca, including Global Clinical Program Lead, Senior Global Development Medical Director, and Study Physician between 2018 and 2023. Gabriel has also worked as a Medical Oncologist at Locum from 2017 to 2018. Gabriel gained extensive clinical research experience as a Clinical Research Fellow/Medical Oncologist at Sarah Cannon Research Institute from 2014 to 2017. Before that, they worked as a Medical Oncologist at Locum and held positions at Prince of Wales Hospital, Alfred Health, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Albury Base Hospital, and Austin Health in different medical oncology roles throughout their career.

Gabriel Mak completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Melbourne, spanning from 1998 to 2003. Later, from 2015 to 2017, Gabriel pursued an MSc in Experimental Therapeutics from the University of Oxford.
