Weijun L.

Weijun L. is a Senior Director of Biologics Analytical Development and CMC Team Lead at Exelixis since June 2022, focusing on the development of antibody-drug conjugates and bispecific antibodies for cancer therapy, while leading the analytical and quality control team. Prior to this role, Weijun served as Director & Head of Analytical Development and Quality Control at Allakos Inc from April 2018 to June 2022, overseeing CMC analytical activities related to late-stage and early development candidates. Weijun's extensive background at Bayer Pharmaceuticals included roles such as Senior Manager of Analytical Transfers, where leadership was provided for technical support and method transfer for multiple products, and Senior Staff Development Scientist, managing analytical development for numerous biologic products. Weijun began a research career as an Associate Specialist/Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF, engaging in advanced studies related to DNA delivery and liposome formulation. Weijun holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
