Paul E. Hughes

Paul E. Hughes has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Paul E. is currently serving as the Regional Director of Operations at Exemplar Health Care since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Clinical Operations Manager at MHC UK Ltd from July 2020 to November 2020.

From July 2018 to July 2020, Paul was the Consultant Practitioner/Registered Home Manager at the Ty Melyn Hospital Project, where they led a project to commission and develop new independent mental health hospital services in North Wales. Paul E. also managed the project owner's specialist dementia nursing home.

From April 2016 to July 2018, Paul served as the Hospital Manager at Coed Du Hall Hospital. Before that, they worked as the Hospital Director at Priory Group from July 2013 to April 2016. In this role, they were responsible for commissioning and managing a new locked rehabilitation service for women with complex needs and men with high functioning autism. This service was a unique joint venture with an NHS Trust.

Paul also worked as the Hospital Manager at MHC UK Ltd from November 2010 to June 2013, and at The Cambian Group from November 2007 to November 2010.

Prior to their managerial roles, Paul held various positions at NHS Wales. Paul E. served as the Assistant Director of Nursing from 2006 to 2007, Forensic Clinical Nurse Specialist from 2003 to 2006, and as a Ward Manager from 2001 to 2003. Paul E. began their career as a Staff Nurse at NHS Wales from 1996 to 1998.

Paul E. Hughes completed a BSc(Hons) degree in Health Studies at Bangor University in 2008. Paul E. then pursued a QCF Level 5 Health & Social Care degree with a focus on Leadership and Management at Coleg Cambria from 2016 to 2017. In 1996, they obtained a Dip Nursing (Mental Health) degree and became a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) from Bangor University.
