Przemyslaw Sobkowicz (Prem)

Przemyslaw Sobkowicz, also known as Prem, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of film, video, and television. Przemyslaw (Prem) started their career at STOP VIDEO as a Junior Videographer and Assistant Video Editor from June 2002 to August 2007.

After that, Prem joined Aberystwyth University in October 2011 as a (Film, Video & Television) Technician, where they worked until June 2015. During their time at Aberystwyth University, they also took on the role of Relief Cinema Projectionist (DCP Media Management) from October 2014 to May 2022. Przemyslaw (Prem) successfully managed the (DCP) Digital Cinema Package media workflow, conducted Dolby digital sound checks, and ensured quality control for the National Theatre Live broadcast via satellite.

Continuing their career, Prem became a Technical Instructor at Aberystwyth University from September 2015 to September 2022 in the field of (Film, Video & Television).

In 2022, Prem worked as the Film Department Head (Video Production and Training) at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts from June to September.

Most recently, Prem will be joining Exeter College in March 2023 as a TV Studio Lecturer and will provide support and delivery in this role.

Przemyslaw (Prem) Sobkowicz has a diverse educational background in the fields of film/cinema/video studies, social and cultural animation, and teaching English or French as a second or foreign language. Przemyslaw (Prem) obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from Aberystwyth University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts degree in Social and Cultural Animation at the University of Zielona Gora, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Przemyslaw also holds a High School Diploma in Teaching English or French as a Second or Foreign Language from Heroes of Westerplatte High School, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Przemyslaw has obtained various certifications in fields such as movie scheduling and budgeting, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, decision-making, color correction, music production, LinkedIn, and cinematography, among others.
