Ilia Shmelev

Ilia Shmelev has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Ilia started their career at TolTol Studio, where they worked as a Full Stack Engineer, handling backend and frontend development of websites. Ilia was involved in the entire development process from gathering client specifications to deployment. Ilia successfully implemented and deployed seven projects during their time there.

Afterward, they joined AsteroidRush, a company focused on developing a blockchain-based game. In this role, Ilia designed and implemented a cryptocurrency gateway for converting different cryptocurrencies into the internal currency of the blockchain network.

Ilia then worked as a Software Engineer at QIWI Blockchain Technologies, where they collaborated with other team members to design an Ethereum-based blockchain data aggregation service. Ilia developed this service using a test-driven development approach and integrated features such as blockchain branching protection and intensive data loading.

At Qiwi, a leading provider of payment and financial services, they took on the role of Software Engineer. Together with a colleague, they developed the backend of a payment system for an internal companies project using Golang and implemented a GraphQL API for mobile and web clients.

Later on, they joined Super Protocol as a Senior Software Engineer. In this position, they conducted research on decentralized storage solutions and designed and implemented a data storage layer API based on their findings. Ilia also integrated the data storage layer into internal applications using Typescript and Node.

Currently, Ilia works as a Senior Python Developer at Exness, a company specializing in financial trading.

Ilia Shmelev completed their Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics at Vladimir State University from 2013 to 2017. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Applied Informatics at the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" from 2017 to 2019.
