Samantha Hooi

Samantha Hooi has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Samantha began their career at marcus evans Group in 2008, where they worked as a Senior Operations Executive for four years. In 2012, they joined Ecopia Sdn Bhd as an Event Manager for a year and a half. Samantha then moved on to One City Properties Sdn Bhd in 2013, where they served as a Marketing Manager until 2016. After that, they joined Huawei Technologies as an Integrated Marketing Manager for a year and a half. Their most recent role is with Exness, where they are currently the Head of Events since 2017.

Samantha Hooi's education history begins in 2004 when they attended Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology. Samantha pursued a diploma in Mass Communication (Public Relations) and completed their studies in 2006. Following their diploma, Samantha attended Edith Cowan University from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications (Public Relations).

In addition to their formal education, Samantha has obtained various certifications. Samantha received a PRINCE2® Foundation Certificate in Project Management and a PRINCE2® Practitioner Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in July and August 2018, respectively. Samantha also holds a First Aid at Workplace certification from St. John Ambulans Malaysia, obtained in December 2018.

More recently, Samantha has acquired several certifications in different fields. These include the Certified Digital Marketing Professional certification from the Digital Marketing Institute in April 2021, as well as three certifications from the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF) obtained in September 2021. These certifications are Advanced Anti-Money Laundering for Financial Institutions, Ethics, Integrity and Fairness in Financial Services, and Technical Meeting & Event Production. Samantha also completed a Virtual Event & Meeting Management certification from the Event Leadership Institute in June 2021.

Additionally, in April 2020, Samantha completed the Kursus Asas Pemandu Pelancong Bandar (Tahap 3) from the Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni & Budaya Malaysia [MOTAC]. This certification focuses on being a basic city tourist guide.
