Amin Abdalla

Amin Abdalla is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Expedia Group since July 2018, Amin previously held the role of Senior Scala Engineer and Scala/Java Developer at Sky, contributing to low latency data provider software and next-generation recommendation services. Earlier experiences include developing applications for emergency management at Frequentis, conducting research at the Vienna University of Technology, and a visiting research role at UC Santa Barbara. Amin possesses a PhD in GIScience from Technische Universität Wien and has expertise in various programming languages and technologies, including Scala, Java, and Haskell.
