Liz Barrows

Liz Barrows has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Liz currently works at Expel as the Principal Internal Communications Partner since October 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Principal People Partner at Expel from September 2022 to October 2023.

Before joining Expel, Liz worked at FireEye, Inc. as an HR Business Partner from June 2016 to May 2019. Liz also worked at MAXIMUS as a Benefits Analyst from January 2016 to June 2016.

At SRA, a CSRA company, Liz held multiple positions including Senior Operations Lead from July 2015 to January 2016, HR Operations Manager (and Immigration Coordinator) from August 2013 to January 2016, HR Operations Specialist (and Immigration Coordinator) from June 2012 to August 2013, and Recruiting Coordinator from July 2011 to June 2012.

Prior to their roles in the corporate world, Liz worked as a Center Supervisor at School Age Child Care: Fairfax County Government from August 2009 to July 2011, and as a Resident Director at Radford University from June 2007 to June 2009.

Liz Barrows completed their education at Radford University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology in the years 2003-2007. Liz later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Counseling and Human Development: Student Affairs Administration from Radford University from 2007-2009. Additionally, in 2014, Liz Barrows received a Certificate in Human Resources Management from George Mason University. In terms of certifications, they obtained a Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist certification from Global Healthcare Resource in November 2022. Furthermore, they hold various certifications in areas such as Human Resources, Mental Health, and Communication.
