Amit Porwal

Amit Porwal is a highly experienced entrepreneur with a background in ecommerce. In 2017, they founded and became the CEO of Wiser, one of the leading personalized recommendations engine for Shopify. Wiser helps ecommerce brands increase their average order value and sales by providing data-driven recommendations to customers. Prior to this, they were the Founder and CEO of Expert Village Media Technologies, a team of Shopify experts, from 2011-2017. During this time, Expert Village Media Technologies provided personalized product recommendations, showcased Instagram feeds on pages, and upsold and cross-sold products, with more than 21,000 merchants from across the globe using their apps.

Amit Porwal obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya between 2005 and 2009. In 2013, they also obtained a Shopify Expert certification from Shopify.
